Hi, I'm Brandy!
The maker behind InScribed Designs, where I create heirloom-quality, personalized keepsakes for the moments and people that matter most.
It started with a cutting board.
My grandmother had a recipe for Millionaire Pie, written in her own handwriting, the kind with looping letters and a few flour stains worked into the paper. After she passed, I couldn't bring myself to tuck that recipe card away in a drawer. So I traced her handwriting, engraved it into wood, and gave my family something we could keep at the table with us. Not just a memory, but something we could touch.
That cutting board is still my most-requested piece.
More importantly, it taught me what this business is really about: preserving the people we love in ways that become part of everyday life.
I come from a family of makers.
My father spent his life crafting furniture, cabinetry, and pieces designed to be used, loved, and passed from one generation to the next. My mother tells stories in a different way. She has spent years sewing beautiful quilts by hand, making sure every one of her seven grandchildren, and her first great-grandchild, had a quilt to wrap up in and treasure for years to come.
I didn't realize then that I was learning more than woodworking or quilting. I was learning that the things made with love become part of a family's story. Every piece I create today traces back to those lessons: make it with care, make it to last, and make it meaningful.
Today, InScribed Designs creates personalized keepsakes meant to be kept. Heirloom-quality gifts for weddings, new babies, beloved pets, and the everyday moments worth remembering.
Every piece starts with your story: a name, a date, a favorite photo, a treasured recipe, or a bit of handwriting that means everything. I take it from there.
I'm the only hands on every piece, from design to finished product, so nothing leaves my workshop that I wouldn't proudly give to my own family.
I believe a gift should feel chosen, not grabbed. That the best keepsakes aren't the flashiest ones. They're the ones that quietly become part of someone's story.
If there's a memory you want to hold onto, a name you want on display, or a piece of someone's handwriting you never want to lose, I'd be honored to help you preserve it.
